Farmall 706 hyd question

So got a call form a guy today asking me about pulling the hyd pump on a 706. Is it like the 656 where you take the bolts out of the cover plate and you the pretty much pull it out that way or do you have to split the tractor to get to it?? Also what type of PSI should a guy get from a 706 hyd system if you install a guage??
Thanks

There are two pumps, but that's all there is to it is pull the bolts and pull it/them out. The front one, for brakes, steering and T/a, is under the valve body so anything attached too that will also have to come off. The back one for implement hydraulics is right on the out side. If you don't drain the oil out first have several clean(enough for oil) 5 gallon buckets on hand.

Can't tell you pressure off hand, it might be in the manuals someplace.

Front pump is tractor controls. Different pressures for different functions. Main pump, called hitch pump. Is a 12 gal pump and 1600 psi factory. About four different relief valves available so some are 2000 psi, 2200 and might even find a 2500 but should not use that high. When you pull hitch pump , pull filter so you can install suction tube from filter side or you will have suction leaks. . Should replace the suction tube seal also which is pressed into rear frame. You can put a 15 or 17 gal pump in if wanted. My opinion is too much oil is being moved through one filter already without increasing capacity.
