IH 504 Transmission Cover Removal

I have an IH 504 with a broken shift fork and I am in the process of tearing it apart. I am wondering if I can remove the transmission cover and the 3 point hydraulic assembly at the same time or do I need to take the hydraulic assembly off first? Also, is there any tubes or standpipes that are attached to the cover that I need to watch for? I know the shift forks have to clear the top of the transmission but the parts illustrations on Case's website aren't very detailed. I hate going into something blind and ignorant so any insight is much appreciated.

Since no one commented on my question I thought I would finish this thread for someone else down the road. I pulled both the hydraulic unit and top cover with no problem. The worst part of it was getting the weight leveled out on the cherry picker.

Hey RJC, thanks for the post and picture. I have a 504 with what I believe is the same problem. I have pulled all the bolts on the cover but I cannot seem to get it to move. I have looked carefully and I believe I have all the bolts out. I started to pull the hydraulic cover off hoping to find a reason why i can't get it off. Then I saw your post and that I should be able to take it off as a complete unit... Is there a trick to removing the cover? Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks
