Do I have the correct voltage regulator?

I am restoring in IH 340 Utility tractor. It came to me with a 12 volt battery. Do I have the correct voltage regulator? I cant find any part number on the regulator. It mounts with 2 bolts on the left side and has just 3 terminals. A 12 volt replacement I acquired has 4 terminals and one mounting bolt hole on each side. The IH parts book lists part number 360898R91 but I think this is for 6 volts.
What is the correct voltage regulator for a 12 volt conversion?

There were many IH tractors with 12 generator systems some with negative ground as well. Any good auto electric store will match your numbers on the generator. There is probably even a choice of polarity (battery ground) Jim
