Joyrider seat

Hello,
I'm wondering if you guys can please give me some info on Joyrider seats? I'm restoring a Farmall Super C for a family. The Joyrider seat is a very important part to this family. It was bought for the now passed father, for Father's Day in the 1960's sometime. I'm going to paint it back to the grey and have the decals made from a local company.
My questions are: does anyone know what colors were in the decal, or what exactly what the decal said? Or how it was laid out? Any good pictures would be GREAT! I could find hardly anything on line. Thank you very much in advance!

Damon, send me an email I will send you the parts list. I restored a Joy Rider on this Farmall H a couple years ago and was able to get a decal from the company. They still have parts.

Cowman,I like that seat! where can I get one for my SuperM? Also looking for a Kosh antikikback steering wheel Thanks,Steve

Thank you guys for posting some pictures of the Joyrider seat. I posted some pictures in a previous post of a WD Allis Chalmers my Dad put one on in the 60's so I was sure I knew what it was since we had original directions & tag in the farm papers. I just happened to see one last week-end on a John Deere and a observer questioned what the seat was so I told him but Mr. Know-It-All said it could not be Joy-Rider but did not have any ideas except it did not look like a Monroe. Anymore I just shake my head and walk away when that happens.

You guys with your accurate information help separate the facts from fiction. Them seats were made just up the road from me in Columbus, Ne and sounds like there are still parts available. In the first picture is it missing one of the springs in the housing or was it suspose to have the assortment of springs on the end? Usally there are 2-extension springs side by side just in front of the shock absorber.

I'll have to look and see what I have Steve. I'm not sure i have a complete one. I may have a Knoedler if that would interest you?

This is what ours looked like. We had the bracket like yours that went under but for some reason it hung on the shop wall until it went on the scrap wagon. One note was we had a nice square cushion seat with arm reat and cushion back that made things a lot more comfortable. There was no question what was the prefered WD that my Dad would use. There were other Farmerized improvements also like a cab and power steering that were added.
They must have had different seats slightly different for different makes of tractors as recently I seen one on E-bay as an original replacement for Ford 9-n tractors which was the same with different decals.Cleddy.

That wooden box on the axle was a set of stamps, only one was stamped upside down :)

Here is a Joyrider on a 1953 SW6. My Grandfather put it on sometime in the late 50's. It has a different seat base thou, has a back rest. This seat used to be able to flip over to keep rain off it. Whatever stopped that broke, Grandfather ended on the ground. Out came the welder, haha. My Dad covered it with black tarp as there was nothing left of the cover. This past winter the seat needed a lot of tlc in cracked welds. Replaced the shock, both springs broke, replaced them. Should be good for another 50yrs.
