What color??

Anyone know the correct color for the dash panel on a Farmall 400?
It is a gray or gray-blue color (I think).
I am restoring my dad's 1956 model 400 and want to get that color as close as I can.
Thank you.
 
I googled your ? because I knew it had been asked before. TV said the 400 was red and the 450 was gray. Others agreed.

This one was gray from the factory; found original paint under red re-paint.
I found 1 image in some old advertising with a gray dash on a 400.
Will continue the search.
 
Wayne, I believe the dash on a 400 should be a dark gray. I have a 400 and a 450 and it looks like they both are about the same gun metal gray color. I also attached a page from an original 400 brochure and it also shows the dash being gray. Hope this helps. Al

I have it painted dark gray at the moment; waiting for daylight to see how it turns out.
 
Whats funny is I see the same question asked here, several times, and one or two say red, then later they say grey, even as recent as 2013 one said red, then grey, then red again. Then on the RP site, he says grey last year.
