FARMALL MW 9 SPEED

There is one on the Nebraska Cowman Board under parts bin on second page. Don't know if it is for a cable shift or lever shift.

if the lever is on the left side by the clutch, i think it may be a heisler 9 speed. i have a cable operated m+w on my m.

Nebraskacowman link to instructions are the same as I used to install my M&W 9-speed gear set. Got new cable from a speedometer shop. It was too light. Second heavier one works as it needs to be stiff enough to move the gears. Be sure to really tighten the setscrew into the cable inside the transmission as mine came loose and had to take the top off again to get to it to tighten it. Hope my experience helps.

This 9 speed is lever operated on right side of trans. It is stamped m&w. I need instructions for lever shift not cable shift. Alreay have those instructions. Thanks jim.

Only thing that should differ on instructions is the hole and parts on the side of the transmission housing.
Center of hole is drilled 7-3/4 inch back from front of housing and 5-1/4 inch down from transmission top cover gasket surface. Don't have the hole diameter without going to measure, but if you have the piece you can figure that out. Lead washer goes on outside of housing, can use silicon sealer. Another lead washer and locking washer and nut on inside. Shifter operating rod bracket was bolted to hydraulic rod support if equipped. Hole was drilled in support.
Don't have instructions but have removed and installed several.
