Sometimes money changes hands in an even deal. Sometimes you feel like you've been beaten. And the sometimes you feel like you stole it. Spotted this digger 22 minutes old on Craigslist. Only four miles from home. Man was asking $200.00. At first, the picture he posted made it look real big, and I've abused my Craigslist privilege fairly well, so I passed over it. Only got about two ads past this one and went back and sent him an email. Mine got there first. He had quite a few. Turned out I knew his dad, his cousins, his brother, and his nephews, and he was delighted that I told him I was really going to use it for digging potatoes. I never argued price, paid him full price cash, still feel like I stole it. Its an O K Champion Potato Machine Co, Hammond Ind., Patent 1908. Notice the cogs that lock the ground drive into gear. Its the sweetest little machine, I'll post some pictures diggin' next fall. How'd I do?
