Early Cub and loader

I'm normally on the 9N-2N-8N page because that is what I have but I have a Farmall question.
Years ago I purchased a Cub with several implements. It was not running well but for $400 at a yard sale it seemed like a good buy. One of the implements was a loader. A friend has said that it had to be a super cub as the cub did not have hydraulics. Me, I know from not about them. I didn't take any pictures and sold it for $800 a few weeks later.
Does anyone have a picture of a early cub with a 2 arm loader or am I totally wrong about what I had? I'm also trying to contact the person who bought it from me to get some information.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

No such thing as a super cub. The cubs did in fact have hyds. Years ago I could have bid on a loader for a cub and should have since it sold for $7. Have a friend who owns a cub and if I had bid on it I could have made some $$

Hi Old,
You cover all of the discussion pages? Thank you for the information. For clarification, did they have hydraulics in early models or was that a later model release? Just trying to clarify. May get me a free coffee at McDonalds, LOL.

You are talking about the Cub and not a Cub Cadet lawn tractor, aren't you? If so, then yes, Cub's came either way, with or without hydraulics, depending what you wanted to pay for it. Many of the attachments made for Cubs could be used with hand lift or with hydraulics. I don't think I've ever seen a double armed loader for a cub, but double armed ones were used on the Cub Cadets. The single armed ones were available for a Cub, but not common. If you find one in our part of the world, and want to buy it, (if its for sale) you will pay for it. (jal-SD)

45 years ago I worked part time for a man with a welding shop. He had a Cub with a front end loader, that I think he told me he built from scratch. We used it around the shop a lot. Handy as the pocket on a shirt. I don't remember if the Cub had a starter or not, but we always used the hand crank.

When cubs first came out in 47 they did not have hydraulics, but did have the places to mount them. The hydraulics (Touch Control) became available in 48, and was an option for several years, but such a popular one they eventually became standard. Wagner, Twin Draulic, and I believe at least one other made 2 arm loaders for the cub, in addition to the Farmall 1 arm loader. Here is my Wagner WM-1 which is an early model, Wagner also made a model 45 which was the later version. The bucket will reach 10 feet up, which is a long way up on a cub, and calls for care in handling.

I am not in them all but yes in a lot of them. But I do also have tractors of most of the common brands on hand so deal with a good number of them
