856 T/A Replace

Getting ready to remove the clutch housing on an 856 to replace the TA. Are there more than the ten large bolts around the rear of the housing or are there some that are hidden by the top and bottom covers? This 856 has never been apart since new, as it has been in the family since purchased new.

Nope , you do know what your doing don't you ?? There is a LOT MORE involved then just unbolting and putting it back together. IF you want it to last . Don't know who's T/A your using but setting end play shiming the lower shaft and getting the lower shaft bearing preload rebuilding the MCV and setting the pressure .

I am well aware of what needs to be done, and have a local Case IH dealer who will assist me with this center housing. I also have a retired and well seasoned IH mechanic who might also be available if I can catch him on the right day! Believe me I researched this quite well before I jumped into this one. I am just doing the R&R part of the large housings.
