i said i would update as some of you helped and gave me ideas to try on my 584 with the d206 motor. i myself tryed lining up the key on the injection pump and it would not start and bleed all air to make sure. i have a buddy that works for the parts place i get my parts from and he had worked a few year at the ih dealership before it closed. he came out sat and we redid all the timeing and showed him what i done and tryed. this has the brosh CR pump, a week or so ago they sent me the second rebuilt pump thinking it could be the problem since everything is new. and i do think it might have been some of the problem. the second pump is harder to turn over when it cycles to each line to the injectors, but what i found was the number 2 postion that the ih book says to use and then the line in the pump window was not lining up dead on the mark. we moved the gear off number number 2 postion so we had more adjustment to the pump,we realigned the crank at 14 deg before top dead center and i held the adj of the pump gear right were the pump would be injecting fuel and my buddy locked it in place,we rebleed the lines and it ran for apx 5 seconds before we shut it down as we had the timing cover off and it was throwing oil out rather well. so now i am in the process of putting the front end back together, i would like to thank jimb2,pete 23,806 curt and dieseltech for all the help and ideas to get this running. when i get it done i may try and post some picture of it. this tractor will be pulling the wagon for my daughters wedding in 10 weeks.
thanks
