1952 SC Hydraulics TROUBLE

Just took the loader off my 1952 Farmall SC. I took the whole assembly off / complete loader, controls & reservoir. I installed the correct size pipe plug fittings to block off the holes on the tractor (one on the right side where the lines are and one on the left side/ where you would add more fluid). The reervoir under the gas tank is full with fresh fluid. HERE IS THE PROBLEM....now, when I start it, the hydraulic lines get HOT very quickly....so hot it burnt the oil & paint off the lines under the governor. What can I do to fix this??? Thanks! Josh in Maine.

josh, same thing happened on mine. I removed the steel lines that go from the touch control to the pump, look on the touch control box were the lines were removed, I found what looked to be homemade pin, threaded on one side and a point on the other. if yours has that, start there by removing it and see if that helps you out, my loader was a wagner.

When you removed the lines going to the cycls on the loader and plugged them that stopped the flow of hy fluid from the pump. Was there a block installed to run the loader that was installed on the lines coming from the pump to the hy control area. If so remove that block and you will be OK
