Corporate tragedy

I picked up a copy today at auction. It is paperback and still in cellophane. My question is was there more than one printing of this book? What year was it published? What is the opinion on unopened increasing value my guess is 25% higher. I have little to no experience in books so advice is appreciated.

Thanks
Rob

Have one with the same cover, says printed April 1997. Says first copyrighted 1985. But also says parts came from earlier material.

I bought the hardback copy when it was in print. Very good and interesting book about how IH management ran the company into the ground. There was a lot about the 560 transmission debacle in that book.

I just saw a copy of the same paperback advertised on one of the Scout parts sites for $35, brand new printing, or so it was claimed. Plan to order a copy when I order some parts for my Scout later next week. jal-SD

I read the book shortly after it was published. Lot of good information but found her knowledge of tractors a little lacking. I hope her research on the stuff I know nothing about was more factual.

She did a pretty good job, but as to tractors she was similar to the last IH CEO and his assistant who generally killed IH.

You could check Amazon.com or ebay. They often list prices for new copies and for used copies.

I have a hard back copy when it was first released. The premise of the book is about the management of IHC and how they completely lost touch with their customers and employees. It is not a book on IHC tractors, but more on corporate and how they ran a company.

Good grief, I read the book also. I just meant she kind of pretended to know a little too much about what the machines were about.
