Starting new garden with M and Oliver 4240

Well, after digging my neighbors 4240 out of the field(buried up to the hubs) and a little work. I started breaking ground for our bigger garden. Heavy clay soil around here so I'll hit it with the tiller and we'll have some nice hills to plant in. My M never even snorted once when pulling it. :D I left a gap between each row for a walkway. I love any excuse to get the old girl out and use her.

what part of the US you in, looks like the trees havent started budding out yet and it looks like its still cold there

Midwestern Ohio, Our maple's have started to bud but thats about it. Last Saturday it was mid seventies and today the windchill was 30 with random snow flurries.

what size shares and how many bottoms can you pull in that clay with your Farmall M? We learned that our Farmall H is unable to handle 2 X 16 in clay.

2 16's is a load for an M on the clay around here.

I would think 2 12's or a single 16 for an H in the clay.
