The original subject was "Re: IH 284".
I have this same engine (the M4-71G gasoline ) on my IH 284 and after running for about 10 min or so, smoke comes out the vent hose on the right hand side of the engine. Coolant is coming out the overflow tube on the left a bit as well. I suspect the engine is overheating - do you all think the water pump could be at fault? Also, any idea how much coolant to put into this thing? It's definitely eating oil, but is running well enough.
