450 Hydraulic Leak

On my 450 gasser I have an aluminum live pump in front of the distributor. It has the two hard lines that bolt to the bottom of the pump with o-ring seals between the
pump and plate the line are attached to. All factory I think.

It started leaking the other day so I replaced the o-rings with some out of an assortment we have. Thought I had them matched up perfect, but it still leaks after I put
it back together. The old o-rings had no obvious cuts or flaws and I thought I had the replacement ones matched up perfect. Do these use a special o-ring? Couldn't locate
any in the parts available from this site.

Any other possible/probable causes of a leak here? It's for sure coming from between the pump and the plate the lines are attached to, so not a cracked line I dont
think.

Have you looked at the area close to the engine block with
a small mirror to check for seeping on that side?
Generally, the o-rings will fix a leak in that area. Are
you certain the o-rings were in the grooves when attaching
the line block to the bottom of the pump?
There wasn't much problem with a cracked line thing up by the
pump as I recall.

Listed below is the part number maybe worth a shot to try a set of dealer O rings first.

I could see oil seeping out on the outside. Took it back apart and put a different set of o-rings from our assortment back in, and that fixed it. The outermost o-ring that I had put in earlier today had a slight cut in it.

Which leads me to think one of three things happened-

1- I somehow cut the new o-ring with my pick when putting it in there, or didnt have it in it's groove properly. This has an F-11 loader on it so really no room to move the lines out of the way to get my fat fingers in there.

2- I got mixed up and put one of the old o-rings back in rather than a new one.

3- Someone had stuck an old o-ring that "looked ok" back in the box....I admit I've done this in the past.

Either way, it's fixed now. Thanks for the responses though!
