Farmall MD Removal Of Behlen Power Steering

I am restoring a Farmall MD and I want to remove the Behlen power steering unit
This requires removing the magneto and I need a magneto drive to bolt into the
timing cover (which I have) then install magneto into it. Anything special when installing
the magneto drive into timing cover just match it to mag on #1 cylinder and install?
Please let me know your thoughts
Thanks Eddie

With engine on #1 remove mag, then reinstall by lining everything up based on position of timing gear at #1 and mag on #1. Don't forget ccw rotation. Owners manual should also cover timing mag. Good luck.

Can't tell you for sure in that year. Need to go by engine serial number. If engine serial is below 19282 it uses ignition drive 8224DA. 19282 up, ignition drive 261206R1. Also if the bolt holes don't line up its the wrong one. 8224D was a early one and will bolt on the same as 8224DA but doesn't have a oil seal on the drive shaft.

D Slater thank you very much for the info I will check the engine serial and make sure I have the right drive.
Thank you for the fast response and also to the other gentleman who responded.
