cub govener

I bought an old cub a few weeks back and have been working on it. I had to drain clean the tank, replace the clogged fuel system and rebuild the carb. Anyway I now have it running good. It starts easy and runs fine but I dont think the govener kicks in as well as it should. At 1/2 throtle it will pull way down under the least bit of a load but seems ok as long as the throtle is nearly wide open. In other words the govener doesn't kick in unless the throtle is nearly , or completly wide open, then you can hear it kick in. Is there an adjustment that I need to do. I've had the carb off several times already. Thanks, Nat

There is an adjustment, I have read about it here on several past posts. Surely someone that knows by experience will chime in. Luckily I ha sent had to adjust mine yet.
