First question on a cub. Here is a pic. of the serial plate. Year and anything else. It is a standard cub with modern square type hood . Thanks folks Jeffcat

The first owner "touched it up a "little". 999% of the tractor is in it's work clothes. Thanks for the serial.
 
1977 so larger carb. Also starting around '75 with dome top pistons increase in compression ratio, 1600rpm to 1800rpm and the larger carb. Said to give it more horses. No letter suffix in the serial number like early models. Although the only suffix I've ever seen is J on a cub which stood for Rockford clutch ( big whoop). The horse power thing I'm kind speculative about, I have a '48, '64 and a '77 all with identical woods belly mowers with same size pulleys on the deck and on the drive. In tall grass my '48 will blow the others away on torque, power, and throddle response.
