Will a 460 or 560 wide front end fit an M?
I've been told the 400 and 450 would but 4 and 560 fronts seem more common around home

Only thing that keeps a 460 and 560 wide front from bolting on a M is frame holes drilled and the rear saddle that bolts to the frame rails has more drop than a SMTA, 400 or 450 saddle. Need a saddle to fit those tractors or shorten the height on the 460, 560 one, or space the front casting down. Could buy those saddles aftermarket.
460 spindles are smaller than the 560 front at the wheel bearings. 460 and 560 spindles and knees are a little shorter than a original SMTA, 400 and 450 wide front. Won't hurt anything, makes the tractor sit more level most times if you don't space the front support casting down.
If you can fabricate the 560 saddle can be cut as needed at the lower part and a steel plate welded on and 3 bolt holes drilled is another option.
Also should add the above is using the hubs that came on the spindles. If wanting to use M wheel hubs it takes some work.

Hey thanks! We've got an annual auction this weekend and there are a few 4 and 560 front ends. I thought id better ask if it would work before I spent a whorehouse price for one!
