H making noise in reverse

Farmall H sat outside for a lot of years. Where it sat the front end was about 18 inches lower then the rear. Got it home and drained out 3 to 4 gals of water before oil came. Replaced oil and no noise, but now when you put it in reverse you can hear a clicking noise. I am guessing that a bearing is bad but does anyone got any Idea of which one before I tackle this job. Thanks.

I had a broken tooth on a constant mesh gear that made a ticking sound in 1-4 and reverse but not 5th after I put Super H gears in my H. I had another spare gear so I put that in and all was well. Might be worth looking for a damaged tooth on either end of the reverse idler.

When you are backing up take the tip of your toe (with your boots on!) and hold down on the shaft that comes out of the brake cover. My M was doing the same thing. It doesn't sound good! It turns out mine was the left brake band. I didn't have it adjusted right and that band would chatter when backing up. I still haven't fixed it. I just put my foot on it now to keep it quiet. Check both sides.
