I've got an m on the line I'm tryin to buy the price is most definitely reasonable (even without the options) but it's got the m&w hand clutch and the behlen power steering I wanted to know what the big point of the hand clutch was and the value of both power steering pump and clutch

Thanks guys!

Hand clutch allowed you to stop the tractor
without stopping the PTO, handy if you're baling,
combining, chopping or running a bush hog.

ALLIS-Chalmers introduced the hand clutch for live hyd and pto in 1948 with the WD tractor. It was standard equipment, although a factory delete was available.

The Allis Chalmers tractors needed the hand clutch as the tractor with a Roto-baler needed to stop, keeping the pto running, as the bale was tied off.

IH never came out with it, it was an aftermarket
add-on because IH was late getting to the game
with live or independent PTO.
