Cub question

I'm taking the engine apart on my Cub so I can take it over to the shop for a valve job. I've run into a situation where the pipe that bolts to the head for the cooling system won't come off - can't move the bolts. I've already twisted off one. Question is can I heat those bolts some or am I going to warp the head doing that.Fortunately all the other bolts on the tractor have come off.

Heating the bolt, and minimizing the heat applied to the metal of the head is just fine. heat it, and cool it with ice three times to loosen it. Jim
