international 1850 loader on international 300u

will an 1850 loader fit on an international 300u?

I have found what I think is a good deal on the loader.

I currently have a very nice 2001 loader on the 300u with a trip bucket .

I'd sure like to have the hydraulic bucket... and it looks like it would be easier to get on and off the tractor too.

I've been considering putting hydraulic cylinders and a wider bucket on mine, but I think I'd have as much in it as this guy wants for the whole loader ...maybe I could cannibalize the 1850

what do you think?

The 1850 was a Hamilton built loader, starting in 1971. It was intended for tractors like the 454, 574, 624 and 724. That said, it usually isn't that difficult to remount a loader on a different tractor as long as it is similar size to the original. Worst case is usually making some brackets and a little hydraulic plumbing work. I'd suggest you start by taking a few measurements to see what is involved to mount it on your 300U. It may be less work than converting your 2001 to hydraulic dump. By the way, hydraulic bucket control was an option on the 2001. So converting it may not be that big a deal either. Finding the original conversion parts would make it easy, except for finding those parts.

Cant tell if it will fit or not. But since you have
the 300 sitting there,Get out your tape measure and
measure.Write down the measurements,draw some
'pictures'..Carefully observe the mounts....Then go
look and measure the other loader. Then you will
know. If you are handy with a torch and welder, you
can make anything 'fit'.Cant advise on the other
issues
