Cleaned the rack and plunger and reassembled. It is still pushing fuel to injectors while on the gas side. When switching to diesel it dies when throttle is opened up and decomp. Lever is pulled. If the throttle is left in the closed (fuel off position) it switches over to diesel when decomp. Lever is pulled but it instantly goes to extreme high rpms. Any ideas.prior to opening the pump to clean rack and plunger pump was never opened,lockout cable and tag was still in place. Thanks jim.

Sounds like you have you decomp lever hooked to
The pump instead of cross shaft to the gas side
Just a thought
 
Check the rack again, sounds like its still out of adjustment if it wants to run away and feeds fuel on gasoline.
