M Farmall was 3 7/8 standard, oversize was 4 in, which is also know as a 264,engine. The 450 was 4 1/8 or 4.125, also know as a 281 !

Well since M&W stopped making aftermarket parts a LONG TIME AGO and someone still have a set of them as NOS parts setting on some dusty of shelf in some dusty old back room i think your out of luck. SOOOoooo if you want 4.250 pistons then you may have to into the progressive sized books and find something that will fit and if memory serves the 4.250 piston did not use sleeves .

Cant help you, somewhere the other day, in some of my "stuff" I saw a decal for M&W pistons

My dad and uncles were always rebuilding something or installing some new M&W gadget.

Think some of the pulling supply places sell 4.250 pistons. You would need to be lucky to find the M&W ones left around new. Think those pistons have the smaller piston pin than a M size. Not positive on the pin size because of memory. They were sold with sleeves for use in 450 blocks after boring for the sleeves. Worked in others also but the pin bushing size may need adapted to pins in all but later part of 400 engines. Also made for the 400 450 gas head combustion chamber
Used a 3/32 top second and third ring and a 1/4 oil.

i have a m + w piston and sleeve set for for the 4.250 bore and m+w crank but they are stayin here. I don't know what happened to the place in Nebraska that was remaking the cranks and the pistons and sleeve sets but heard a lot of people mad because of late or no delivery.

I have a set of M&W FireCrater Dome Top pistons I took out of my M. Will measure them tonight and see what size they are. Have the wrist pins for them too.

I had a set of forged M&W clones made for my MH44 by Arias, it runs about a grand per set of four. The M&W were not forged pistons, so it is an improvement for a puller.

Quite a few years back found an nos MW kit,I believe they were #179's.Really woke our 450 engine up,believe it was 5.75 stroke.
