Farmall cub fast hitch with woods belly mower???

Hi everyone!! Looking for some great help and advice here.
Looking to purchase a 57 cub with fast hitch was wondering if I
could hook up my 60inch woods belly mower with the fast
hitch still on the tractor?? Or do I need to remove fasthitch to
run pulley bracket for belts?? How hard is it to remove the 1pt
fast hitch on a cub? Would love to find a 1pt finish mower but I
know there not easy to come by.

My experience with 140 tractor with belly mower and one point fast hitch is that you can mount the mower with the fast hitch on the tractor, but the fast hitch becomes almost useless. Might as well just take fast hitch off. I don't have experience with a cub, fast hitch with mower. Somewhat familiar with Cub and 60 inch Woods mower with drawbar. I sort of doubt you can mount the mower and fast hitch at the same time. Take a look at the woods manual. The woods manual for the 140 tractor tells you what to do with the fast hitch. The cub will handle the 60 inch mower if you have level ground and don't let the grass get high. You will find yourself mowing in first gear some of the time especially in higher grass or going up hill.

PTO spins backwards, so unless your mower is already beung used on a Cub, you will either have to get another one, the right set of blades and set up your mower for reversed operation if it can be, or put a twist in the belt.

My 66 cub Lo-Boy came with an IH 60" belly mower (also IH) and One point hitch. I cut my grass in 2nd gear most of the time. When I let the grass go too long, I might have to cut it in first. Only thing I use the one point for is to pick up a trailer tongue to move a trailer. That is very handy. The 60" mower is about all it wants. I see a lot of them with 54".

It looks to me like the mule drive for the mower would prohibit the 1pt hitch from raising very high. Too, the mower belt would need to be threaded around both sides of the one point making it tough to replace the belt. As Bob mentions above, the PTO spins backward compared to most tractors and the PTO is not the same size as a standard PTO, so unless the deck was from another Cub, it would take a lot of adapting to fit at all. Cubs are not expensive. Having a second Cub (or a second tractor) in the shed is always a good idea.

You need a special drive to mount the Woods mower with the fast hitch installed.

It has a short chain drive from the PTO to an intermediate jackshaft, where it switches to a belt.

These drives are very rare and hard to come by, especially without the mower.
