flow divider on SMTA question. (pic)

The hydraulics on my smta have gotten very slow. The tractor has power steering being split off a priority flow divider. Is there an adjustment on this? I suspect that it's the problem as my lift is more responsive when I move the steering wheel.

That does not look like an adjustable priority valve to me, an if it were, I doubt adjusting it would make any difference. They don't spontaneously change adjustment.

Odds are your pump is going bad. Turning the wheel actually takes LESS flow than holding the wheel steady, because the steering motor is blocking the flow in order to create the pressure. That diverts more flow through the lift circuit, making your lift seem to work better.

That's a Webster valve and you may be able to find some information on line. Been a long time since I was inside one, But don't think you can adjust. Think the relief or safety valve to steering motor can be adjusted. Rest depends on bore to spool clearance and spring tension.
Valves like that were common when Behlen power steering was added to supers with engine hydraulic pump. Pretty sure IH used them on some combines or one close.
Unless you can check hydraulic flow and pressure its just a guess on the valve being the problem.
Valve could be worn internally, springs weak or the relief leaking pressure if its the problem.

Interesting. It's got a M&W pump on it but I
have a IH pump I was going to swap out anyways.
The tractor has a pressure relief valve right
behind the valve in the pic.

Also I forgot to mention that the tractor can be running and nothing happening hydraulicly then I can hear it load up and start to lift, slowly.

Relief valve in the priority valve is only for the power steering port. Don't mater on the pump if it has the pressure. Sounds like you have a suction or pump problem from the last description.
