200 bush hog size?

A 200 which is around 24HP should handle a 5 footer just fine in most stuff and in lighter stuff a 6 footer

I would get the 6 ft, and just pull over if it cant handle it. I got 55 hp on a 10 foot, If the grass bend's over going under front axles, i got to slip the clutch ! I don't like it, but cant help it the first time thru !!

Everybody on here told me a 200 would handle my 6ft just fine. They were wrong. Did OK on my 5ft, but no low end grunt, kept having to move over or raise the hog. Sold the 200, invested that in something else, and went back to using my M.

I see a 5 footer near me and am thinking about buying it. Has a slip clutch and the blades are kinda beat up..but the main body looks decent. Also would work well with my 400.

We sold SideWinder rotary mowers at my family's garage in the '60's and early '70's. No way I could recommend a 6-foot on a 200. If you really need to use a bush hog, a 5-footer would be maximum I'd recommend that you'd be satisfied with.

I've got a BEFCO Cyclone C50 60" finish mower behind my SC. If the grass/weeds get over about 6" even in 1st gear it's 2-passes if you want a clean looking job.

A lot depends on what your cutting. My 200 will handle a 6'
shredder in my pasture just fine. I use it to maintain a
regularly cut pasture. If your cutting waist deep brush that's
not been cut for years it'll be slow going, if it'll do it at all.
