Yes, they were very popular where grain was winrowed.
North Dakota and the Canadian prairie provinces.
We used to call the very popular 914 the belly button combine (everybody has one
I did many a wheat , flax , oats, sunflower harvest with my 914 and later 1482 combines
They were even pretty useful direct cutting (17.5 ft head)as long as you were working in the same field with a self propelled combine to open the field and cut it into blocks that the pull type rig could easily handle.
Our crops and harvest practices changed, so I scrapped my last 1482 to rebuild another 1480 SP machine.
The 1482 pulled by my Steiger 4WD was a grain eating machine

Ihave found at least two and i think are both 80's i know is and has no reel left on it. working on trying to get her to part with them
