rear end oil for 300 utility?

I need some info. about what kind & how much oil to put in the rear end? The tractor is a International 300 utility with a TA. If I put the oil in the rear will it also get to the Trans. & TA? Thanks for any help

The IT manual said it takes 28qt. or 7 gal. Is this correct? I was told it takes 15gal.

I think it is 7 but fill it to the check hole on the left side under the left foot plate IIRC. Jim

I have a 300 U with a T.A. use only I.H. Hytran!
Fill to level plug on side of tranny and yes that will service rear end & trans. PTO takes its own oil as reservoir is separate. I use Hytran there also.
Hydraulic reservoir is under seat and uses Hytran also.
