Why do some 1206 IHC tractors have farmall on the side of
the hood and some have International. I have a row crop
tractor serial number 11660 and it has the International stick
on decal.

I believe the difference is the model (row crop versus utility) was the factor that determined the correct model identification to be applied to the tractor. Your Chassis ID should state Farmall if it truly is an original row crop model which in that case the correct ID would be Farmall. I'm not that familiar with 1206's but my 656 has a metal ID plate secured on the hood with the Farmall name with a black background while the utility model would have an International plate in the same location. I believe this would also apply to your 1206, Hal.

International is the wheatland/standard model.Farmall is the more common/popular rowcrop version.
