I've got the same blade for my A. I've never used it so this year I put it on so I could play with it. Wouldn't you know it - no snow yet this year. I like the original condition of the paint. It looks like you oiled (or K1) it?

Ya need CHAINS and a heat houser . My first tractor was a 58 Cubby that i got with EVERYTHING in one package deal for 750 dollars in 1961 It came with a heat houser with a top and back on it and CHAINS . Made good money doing drive ways at two to five bucks a pop and i stayed WARM where my buddy and his Gravely FROZE walking behind his . I could do three drive to his one . Also had fast hitch and when spring came i could plow and disc a garden faster then he could .

Great looking cub. I have a 57 low, 68 lo and 72 cub that I plow with. Mostly the 68 low. Fun to play with. Can move a good amount of snow with them. My driveway is very steep, so I do have chains on 2 of them, but you may be ok on flat ground. See how it goes. Enjoy!!! We have 6 to 12 inches coming today in Custer Park, Il.

I would like to get a snow plow for mine but mainly just because. Here we usually only get 12 inches total for 1 year. And that's a maximum. We ain't got a thing yet this year.

Nice!

Having pushed snow for a number of years with a Cub, I'm going to suggest that even with the rear weights you'll be much happier if you also use tire chains.

(I'll also suggest that if you have any trees with low branches around your place, you'll be happier if you shorten the pipe coming out of the manifold or else the muffler outlet pipe about six inches).

Looks good.
On level ground, with little snow they work pretty good. When you angle the blade in deeper snow you will find that the blade is a little narrow and your wheels will be in the windrow making a mess behind you. You also need chains and more weight Both on the front and rear.
In your last photo it looks like the blade was bouncing You can stop that by adjusting the skid shoes to lift the plow a little.
