Went to An old ih dealer to get a couple small parts the other day and asked for the neck of it about rear lines for my 450 I'm restoring, the guy went upstairs and came back with a brand new original ih set he looked them up said the last set he sold was in 1985 for $375.00 , but if I wanted them he would give me a deal and let me have them for$200.00, so I jumped at the deal. I think I did right.

Some folks are in the right place at the right time. Did them come alone the left side of the battery box?

All that matters is that you are happy. I just bought two 4X19 tires for $118 from a dealer that is 20 miles from me. He delivered them, because they were headed to a place about 10 miles past me. I might have been able to save a couple of $$$ by going on-line, but if I need rear tires, I hope he remembers me then also.

That was a good price. I paid $75 for for a good used one for a 350 about 15 years ago. Good used ones are getting hard to come by. Al

You did good !!!!
The issue with the originals was the acid fumes from the battery box coupled with being exposed to the elements, and lack of paint on the surrounding surfaces, they tended to rust & begin to pit on the inside & underneath.
Many I have found were once "fixed" by brazing the pin holes closed, seems you were always "chasing" a small pesky permanent leak prior to painting. The best way was take them to someone very talented in welding steel lines, and have them pressure tested as well. See aircraft tubing repair......$$$$$$.
