North Carolina boy wants to know where is the best place/source for rear tires?

AgriSupply advertises for $219 or $199 from India I believe. Miller Tire $294 Carlisle as I recall. Then there's shipping.

What brands are acceptable?
 
Local farm tire dealer.Local service plus no frieght is your best route.Forget 'online'. Buy from your neighbor.
 
Tractor tires are one place where you can come out ahead dealing locally. The prices of the online dealers aren't that much cheaper, and shipping absolutely kills the deal.

I just wish I could find the tire dealers who sell BKT and Akuret. Yes, it seems hypocritical to say shop local but buy foreign, but the manufacturing ship has sailed. I figure the more money I fling at India and China the quicker they become rich, fat, lazy capitalists, and the quicker the manufacturing jobs come back here.
 
I have bought both ways and unless your local dealer can't get what you need I would buy from him or get my own tire changing/repair equipment or he may want the internet people to fix your flat.
 
I agree, buy from your neighbor, and he'll buy from you. Odds are Whang-chow-moon ain't gonna buy from you.
