Today I loaded up the SMTA that I bought Thanksgiving day.Hauling it to an upcoming auction.I need to sell to help 'generate' some money to buy that 450Diesel that I posted about earlier.Kind of hate to.But I only pd 400 for it.Maybe I can double my money?

Its a shame you aren't closer I would have bought it from you, wouldn't mind having a smta gas, diesels are my thing but the smta's are neat. Good luck with the 450d. Jim.

The last 'junk' SMTA I saw sell (5 years ago) at auction brought 1700.

That's no good... I just got this 53smd the other week and I want to get that project started, hoping to due a full resto on it. And found a REALLY NICE 48 md about 2 years ago, been holding off on it but I know if I don't get it i will always regret it. What I should really do is stop going to sales and such and just save my money for a few years and get a nice smdta lol. Didn't you say yours needs some engine work?

There has been a decent looking smta on the pittsburg
craigslist for the past few months, don't know anything
about it, don't think he was asking much money.

Yeah that makes it a roll of the dice, things could get expensive really quick. The guy that has the 48 I want to get also has a 50md, the engine is shot, blocks full of water. I am going to get it as a parts tractor for the spare parts I can use on my 41,51,53mds. For what it would cost to rebuild the engine I can't justify it in a md. If it was a stage 2 super or smtad it would be another story. That's the down fall to the diesels they have gotten so expensive to get engine parts.
