Farmall "Honey-B"?

I was recently given a "Honey-B". It's a strange looking tractor that has been completely turned around. Drive axle is now the front end and the narrow, steering axle is the back end. The seat and steering wheel have been relocated as well. If it started out as a B with 3 forward and one reverse gear, does it now have 3 reverse and one forward gear? Is this thing someone's "doodle bug" creation or are there others like it? Any help on this topic would be appreciated.

the honey bee loader was made in everly iowa they
used either a b or c farmall and turned them around
-- I knew the man that was the engineer for them --
His name was Walt Lammers and he still lives in
Boyden Iowa his son is Tim Lammers and they still
have one to -- they made quite a few of them and
they worked good -- the wheight was over the drive
axle--super scooper ---Roy

sounds to like a forklift conversion model without the lift(or is it on yet) and the narrow turn wheels instead of the wide used on most(not all) forklift conversions.

this one was built with a loader/bucket. The hydraulic fluid tank hangs off the opposite end. Along with some concrete counter weights. Thanks for the information. Much appreciated

they changed the direction by flipping the differential over in the rear housing which changed the forward gears to reverse direction and reverse gears to forward direction

Yes they were made in Everly, about 40 miles from where I live. I used to see a few of them in this neck of the woods but haven't spotted one for quote a few years.

They were used a lot in tight places like
fertilizer plants, etc, before the advent of skid
loaders. An area elevator just sold one on a
surplus sale a year or two ago, missed the sale
bill, or I'd have been there to bid on it. An I-H
knowledgeable guy that I know was there, he said it
was a 140, the newest "Honey B" he'd ever seen. (My
$0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Around here there was a company in the 80s that built forklifts out of bn's. Johns Mfg. They made thousands of them and the blueberry farmers and orchards still use them today. We use one regularly on our farm.
