Well I made up my mind a couple months ago and split my 450 to fix the torque and that turned into restoring it. I think I may have gone overboard, lol. Here's some pics torque is all rebuilt, the hydraulics are redone and I got a lot more to do.

Redone all the hydraulics.......you ever see so many tiny orings, screens & orifices in your LIFE ??

I gave the local IH parts guy a list of all the original p/n of all the orings and quantities. He made me a quote of what all the new part numbers had changed to before ordering them all. That came in very handy when putting it all together, I could use the parts book to tell which oring went where.

It will all be worth it.....trust me.

That ain't overboard, that's the way it's supposed to be, nice job. Hot tip for you, think I could of been done 5 years sooner with out a recliner in the shop.

Great to see someone actually restoring.
Lot of effort & expense but you will be rewarded and appreciate it in future.
It takes time don't get in hurry.
Keep us posted on progress

Man you have a lot bigger brass than I do1 good for you and stick to it. On the farm we used to have a 450 that was all tricked out and ran like a top. I came home one day and the old man sold it for neext to nothing cause we didn't need that big of a tractor. I cryed that night and 2o years latter it still Pi$^^*(^ me off!

Sweet! I love projects like that. Do yourself a favor and when you are all done don't add up all the receipts. It will make you groan! I did a 39 M a couple of years ago and spent well over $10,000 on it without doing quite a few things. That will be one nice tractor when you are done. Enjoy!!

OOOooohhhh, that's a nice lookin' Super M....Good Work! I wore out one of them babies, always really liked that tractor better'n anything until the 806's came out.....

Love seeing posts and pics like this. Really hope one day I have a small shop to my self and do a full restoration such as this. Great job and please share more pics!
