Hello, I need to buy bearing for the T/A in Farmall 300 Im restoring. Does anyone know where the best place is to buy just the bearings, ramp cluch rollers and pins. The small pilot bearing Im sure will get tor up trying to get it out and then will not be able to read the numbers to lookup a new one. The cylinder bearing in the trans on the upper main shaft in the middle mu5206 needs replaced to. Can anyone help with this?

Mike would be my first choice. Then there is Bates
Corp;Redrunrite and countless parts suppliers.Google
IH tractor parts.Napa can get bearings.Just give the
oem part number and they will cross it.And it will
probably be the same bearing you would get straight
from IH.(at half the price).I buy most of my
bearings from NAPA.How about checking out your IH
dealer?

Never able to find the MU 5206 or IH number 53323DA bearing for under sixty some dollars. Around $90 at dealer. Not a common bearing and needs special ordered at a lot of places. 359955R91 needle bearing that goes up inside the input or sun shaft is not bad at a dealer. around 11 bucks.
Think any hy capacity dealer can get t/a parts. They used to sell the needle bearing and other parts when I worked on them.
Don't know if this is still true. But at one time if you needed to buy all the T/A needle bearings, planet shafts, machined ramp and rollers, have to pay for the machine work on carrier, new seal and have to pay retail for parts you are looking close to the price of a complete rebuilt unit. If the sun shaft, transmission input shaft out of the T/A, planet gears or planet gear thrust plates need replaced you sure will be up or over a unit price.
Best to get part numbers then check on line anytime you need parts for old tractors, then call around if needed.
Example last month I needed a gasket set that mast places want 120 to 160 for. Found same gasket set in unopened box for 49 bucks.
Agree with others Steel W.R. is okay

(quoted from post at 15:09:18 01/26/15) I can get some of the bearings for you. I have the ramp kits. What bearings for the ta exactly do you need?

I need the (needle bearing I cannt see the number) that goes up inside the input or sun shaft, the( mu5206) is the smaller one in the trans in the middle. I found a mu5206L but not sure if its the same as mu5206. Also the front trans bearing GC-255, it maybe fine but it seems to have to much left to right play my opinion. My ramp rolls have flat spots on them and the pins are mushroomed on the ends and one broken.

I have found some of these parts but I wanted to ask you guys to make sure I was not going to pay more than I had to.

Im new to this forum. I got this 300 with locked up engine from my grandpa . I have taken it all apart and just trying to get it working again and get some good paint on it. It seems like it will cost more than is worth to just get it running again.

I have a needle bearing kit with 3 New pins. I have front and rear carrier bearings and the cast bearing with the snap ring. The only way I can get the topshaft bearing is in a complete topshaft replacement and I also have the ramp kit. By the time you buy all the parts you're probably better off getting a rebuilt ta with 1 year warranty. You probably need to machine or replace the carrier because the rollers probably chewed it up.
