any one here had any experience with what IH called the ice cream box cab for a 706, Red Power Mag shows one on a 706 with a mounted picker on it. My 706 has a 4 seasons cab and a koker loader, I'm looking for a smaller cab. Thanks Al

Cold in the winter, hot in the summer, camped, noisy, difficult to get in and out of... Need I say more?

Why a smaller cab? Usually people are looking for a larger, quieter, warmer, more comfortable cab.

I think its about 38" wide.About as tall as any other cab.As was said, one door, hot, noisy, hard to access.........As has been said,"it would have been cooler and quieter to ride in the engine's oil pan than in that cab!"

The door opens completely up, the right window folds back and the rear window will full open.

They are not that bad in the summer.

Might be we are talking about two different models of WHITE cabs here and have heard both referred to as ice cream box. The original one we sold was the sliding door model and, yes it was not much. The later one was not too bad and I don't mean the deluxe McLaughlin fish house.

thanks for your replys, I'm very well aquainted with most of the older cabs,I want it for a chore tractor and if you ever combine beans in a cab on an old Deere 55 on a hot day then you know what a hot cab is, or disk in oats with a F30 on a cold day in march you know what a cold ride that can be,I'm getting near to 80 years old guess I,m getting soft! Take Care,Al

I'll 2nd that. I bale hay with mine all summer. I take the door and right hand window off so they don't rattle all the time. And for winter feeding it has a heater!

A friend has one off a 806. He sold the tractor. Cab is taking up space. Located in central Iowa.
