Fast Hitch 2CU-F1 scraper??

Hey Guys, I found what I believe is a 2CU-F1 Fast Hitch Scraper/Grader blade. Here are some photos.

I really thought it was pretty cool how it had various adjustments for angle and pitch. One of my questions is, how exactly is the adjustment handle supposed to be used? I had a friend pick it up from me, and to deliver it he disassembled it. Is the castle nut on the end supposed to be 'loose' allow you to turn the handle for adjustment?

I also wanted to clean it up and re paint it. I don't have a sand blaster and always used wire wheels. Is it worth it for me to buy a sand blaster to clean it up? I don't have a line of projects waiting for me to sand blast. Anyone taken off the cutting edge on these? I assume regular 'plow' style bolts are used?

Thanks in advance!

The castle nut needs to be tight.Otherwise the blade
will slop. But try it and see what happens.Wont hurt
to try...I would thgink there should be a 'handle'
on it.Yes they are 'plow bolts'.You will probable
need to use a 'fire wrench' to remove them. some of
those cutting edges can be flipped to expose a
new/sharp edge.Be sure to use Anti-sieze on the new
bolts.

Think it's called a #1 backfill blade, don't know where my manual got to.

Awesome, thanks for the extra pics! How is your handles set up? Are the nuts tight? Just looking for the proper way to have it set up. Unfortunately, one of the adjustment handles has the "handle" broken off of it. My kickstand is all there, but it is slightly bent. I have seen a few pics, and it looks like they are supposed to have a single IH logo on the left?

Thanks again for the help guys!

My brotherinlaw has one of those blades. it is
yellow in color.I see some yellow under the
new/fresh paint. So,I wonder if yellow is acctually
the factory color.I dont remember ever seeing a
logo/decal on his.I would immagine the blade
pictured below was repainted to match the newly
painted tractor. But it's your blade. paint any color
you want.If it is 'pretty' no one will care what
color it is.

You have to keep those handles tight enough that there're pretty hard to flip by hand or when the blade does a little jumping the handles will pop loose, had mine all apart and put a little grease under the lever cams on reassembly, don't do that. Incidentally found red paint inside, no yellow. IH dealer said the decal was not available about 15 years ago when I bought this, think it was supposed to be a long skinny decal down the top of the long hitch tube. I think these blades came out when the 200 tractors came out after the Super Cs. Only place I've ever seen one of these blades is pictures on this site or E Bay, took the tractor and blade to a threshing show and it drew quit a bit of interest, don't think there we many around here our they all got scrapped years ago.
The tractor was painted in 1991/ picture taken last winter.

Would anybody happen to have a color photo of what these should look like? I just picked up one of these and it looks like it has some traces of blue paint on the stand and 2 point hitch arms.
