If I were going to purchase rims from somewhere other than on here, what size rim would I get for the rear? 10 inch wide? 8 inch wide? And then what size tire? Also the front rims, what size rim and tube?

10 rim and a 12.4X24 tire is a good match for an Super A. I run that size on my BA which is a mutt I built for 3 dead tractors

What are you going to do with the tractor as those tires are pretty big and your ground speed will go along with them. For all around use a 9.5 on a 8in rim will be just fine. Same with front 4.00x15 will work fine unless you are going to have a loader then you mite wand to go with 5.00x15. Have you priced new tires for the rear. You can have new tires and tubes 9.5x24 delivered to your front door for 500 larger tires and the price goes up pretty fast. If you are thinking a finish belley mower you will want turf 9.5

Hey thanks for the input. I priced the rear tires at about 490, and tubes for 90. The front tires for 70 and tubes for about 50 or so. I also will have to buy rims. I found two used front rims for $35. And I'm having trouble with rear rims. I found two for 100 a piece but that's way too steep. Any ideas?

100 is about going price for Super A rear rims. You're not going to do much better, if any.

My Super A has 11.2x24 tires on the rear and they're a nice size. Kind of a compromise between the OEM 9.5's and the almost-too-big-IMHO 12.4's. The tractor will do 11MPH on the road.

If you found two original good rims thats a good buy as the new ones do not have the same loops as the old ones if you want it original.

The wheels and tires you choose should be according to the use the tractor will see. If you are going for a restoration, use as close to a factory size tire as possible. If you normally work 'hard' ground, a narrower tire will do just fine. If you work 'soft' ground, you will want more flotation and a wider tire is better, but they will also slip more on hard ground.

Only you know what you will be doing with your tractor, so the choice is fully yours - get what fits your use.
