happy new year,

gonna put a new sediment bowl assembly on my sc what can i put on the threds to seal them that the gas wont hurt?

will teflon tape work?

When I use teflon tape, I always try to keep it
back about 2 threads from the end. This seems to
prevent lille pieces of the tape from getting into
the system.
Have others had the same experience ?

Yes, I have. I like Teflon tape, but I do as you do and keep it a few threads back from the end.

This is what I use for all fuel and oil connections, and have had excellent results.

The Teflon Paste works fine for me.

Now is the time to fit a piece of copper tubing into the inlet that will protrude 1/2 inch, prior to install. Keeps the fuel system free of those flakes in the very bottom of the tank.

i like the yellow teflon tape it is suppose to be gas resistant.
