450 trans oil

I have a farmall 450. I've been using 80/90 gear lube in the transmission. I tryed to move it yesterday and the transmission is froze up. I, going to thaw it out, and change the oil. What is the best oil to use in the trans?

same as you have 80-90. unless it has a T.A.then need hytran. warm it up and just drain the water out by careful opening of plug as oil may be ok if its not milky.

It has a ta.but its out on the low side. Should I still use hytran?

Since your ta does not work on the low side, it won't really matter if you use hy-tran or gear lube. It is the over running clutch assembly (ramp & rollers) that the gear lube is too thick to lubricate properly that gives the problem. In direct drive the planets are not turning anyway and gear lube doesn't hurt them anyway.
