i read two different tractor data info, and one shows rear tire size 8.3-24 and 9/9.5-24, i am restoring it and ready for tires and want to put on 8.3-24 for the smaller look, any farmall correct info would be great.

Mine has 9.5 x 24 they look good that's what was on it when I got it and they are old but are working , wouldn't want anything bigger.

8.00x24 and 6.00x12 are listed as regular equipment and variety of wheel and tire equipment were available as special features

Per the Farmall A&B service manual the Fronts are 4.00 X 15 5.00 X 15 can be used but then the trad is not adjustable for single front wheel its 6.00 x 12. the rears are many sizes 7.00 X 24 8 X 24 9 X 24 10 x 24 11 x 24 This is on page 51 of the service manual

You need to mesure your rims. The 8.3 fit the 7in rims well and the 9.5 fit the 8in rims. Measure the rim outside to outside if it measures 8in its a 7in rim. If it measures 9in its an 8in rim. Outside to outside will be 1in more. I have 8.3 on 7in rims and also 9.5s on the 8in rims. Tires will usually say what size rims for the best fit.

These days,I think only one size is still available. The '9' inch.So the 'decision' may have been made for you.

When tested at Nebraska the B was equipped with 9x24 tires which would be 9.5-24 in the modern nomenclature. The 8.3 size is what the Cub has and these may look a little undersized on a B.

MNGB and gene bender pretty well spelled it out for you. All those sizes were available. Your 8 inch rims would have originally had 9-24s.
