IH 806 Standard

Check the main hyd. filter, also make sure the oil level is totally full or even over full (I keep mine about 3 gallons above full).
I had problems with the power steering on mine and the mechanic diagnosed it as a plugged filter and low oil level. From my understanding there is one pump/filter and one control valve for nearly everything on an 806.

What I know about a 806 is that it is basically the same as a 706 just more horse, ect. With that in mind and what I know about 706's (from working with/on the one on the farm) there are two(or more) hydraulic pumps on it. One pump for breaks, steering, T/A. The other for 3point and remotes. The HY-TRAN fluid circulates through all systems and one main filter. Start with check/change of filter and level. If that is good I am guessing you could try to check over the steering valves

There are 2 pumps 1 for the steering,TA,trans lub. The other is for the 3pt,and remotes out the back. The one for the 3pt is behind the left step. The other is inside behind the MCV bolted to the back of it. That is the block right in front of the left step. The filter is across from the rear pump in back of the right step. Take out the half dozen bolts or so and the filter is in that tear drop looking lid. There is a square o-ring and a screen make sure that screen is clean also. Report back with what you find.
