Farmall 340 Radiator

Any one know why no one makes a radiator for a 340? I've looked and looked and cant find anything. I've found 140 and 240 and then 300 and 350. My radiator is junk...anyone have any leads where a guy could find a 340 radiator or even a good used one? What has everyone else done that's got a 340? Thanks for any help!

I had the same problem with a 504 utility--I couldn't find a replacement radiator. I ended up getting the old radiator recored by a reputable shop. Expensive, but worth every penny in the end to have a good radiator that fits properly.

I will agree with Red M get yours redone or I have a
couple in Louisiana, 318-542-0896, they have no
guarantee but both have green antifreeze in them.

Not enough demand. I just went through this with my
IH 606 utility. No new ones being made, could not
find a used one anywhere after weeks of looking.
Cost me $575 to have mine re cored at the local
radiator shop.

Yup, it's pretty simple: There weren't that many of any of those tractors made, and the radiator is unique to each of those tractors. No market for aftermarket radiators.

Compare that to over 300,000 M's and Super Ms made, plus the radiator will fit 400's and 450's. You've got a big market there.

You're stuck finding a good used one (impossible) or having a radiator shop recore yours. At least the recore will be a better more robust radiator than the reproductions.

Thanks everyone for the help. Wes my number is 618-five nine nine-7049. I would be interested in finding out more about the one in champaign! I'm currently looking for a radiator shop around here to see if I could have it recored.

Even if there was a new one available, I've found it's about the same as having them recored. Frankly a recore by a good shop would be better than anything that might be made today.

Not a whole lot of 340s make them hard to find.
