Anyone use BKT tires?

I bought two 12.4 x 38 BKT tires today for $375.00 each. They won't be here until the end of Jan. but I don't need them now anyway. Every place I have looked these tires are listed for $500. each. They are an 8 ply tire compared to a Firestone 4 ply I could have bought for $425.

I have a set of 11.2x24 bkt they do ok but I probably won't buy anymore , just don't like the way they look.

They're a good tire. A friend in Holland(Netherlands) says that's about all they use over there. I put BKT tires on a tractor I restored and shipped overseas to him.
He was very happy.

I put a set on my SH 2 years ago. They are doing very well. Used it this past spring as a log skidder and they have good traction and clean themselves well. I paid $500 also and that was the best deal I could find. From CC Rosen in New Market Va.

I sold quite a few of them, second in quality to Firestone. I would not hesitate to put them on my tractor.

Bought 2 brand new sets (at different times) and love them. Held up real well, and as said before, clean them selves very well. They were also the cheapest I could find money wise which turned out to be good.

I put one on the back of my BN (the other tire is in great shape). I like it, I think I'm going to buy another and stick it on so I have a matched set.

I bet I can get 75% of the cost back if I sell the other tire...used tires, at least around here go for crazy money.

I put a set of 9.5x36 on my F12. Got them for 1/3 the price of Firestones and 1/2 the price of titans.

Now in their 3rd year, and absolutely no complaints. I will go on the record saying the my F12 is a relative trailer queen, except for the occasional antique pull with the sled.

I bought a set for mine two years ago. I did a lot of research before I bought mine. Most of the reviews I read, people preferred them to Titans. So I bought a set. I can't say one bad word about mine. They replaced a set of Firestone Field and Road and I prefer the BKT's.

Just finished restoring this GM. We have 13.6 x 38 8ply BKT tires. Paid 500 each seem to be a nice looking tire.

I put a set of BKT 13.6 by 38's on my Farmall 460, I have been extremely pleased with them overall. I would recommend them to anyone. Hugh

Everything I've heard about the tires is generally good. Some people have noted that they don't last as long as a more expensive tire, and some people have issues with them being manufactured in India (IIRC).

I wish I could find someone who sold them locally in the Rochester/Buffalo/Syracuse area.

There doesn't seem to be a way to locate dealers. I know some xenophobes will say, "Yeah, that's because they don't want to admit it."

I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to try to get the best product for my dollar. Not cheap mind you, but best value.

Some times that's made in the USA, sometimes it's not.

Paying significantly more for a tire that might only last a little bit longer, especially on an antique tractor that gets light usage seems silly to me. This is why I feel the BKT tires are a good solution.
