rear tires question

What has anyone here on the forum paid for 12.4 x 38 tires? Any place where they are reasonable? I have priced most of mine for $400 a tire plus the tube and mounting.

Bought one a little over a year ago, it was a \Titan and cost $400 everyone else was 450 to 500 dollars. I picked it up at dealer and mounted it myself so if you can get them for 400 better get them before price goes up ( darn sure it isn't going down).

400 is about average.buying from your local tire guy will be the 'cheapest'. Oh sure the 'online' guys might be a few dollars cheaper. But when you pay frieght, you have already spent more. And if there are any problems, you are on your own.And I hear some tire shops will refuse to mount/service those 'online purchaces'.All tires are high,no matter where you buy them. And getting higher.Buy local, buy from your neighbor.

$400 is reasonable. Tires aren't cheap, and you have to be a lucky lucky man to find good used ones for much less.

decent price
a little higher than that here.
And in my experience, ya might as well go for it.
With that very popular size, finding anything good used at even close to reasonable.......is impossible

From what i was TOLD by my tire guy they are going UP by 20 % after the first of the year. SOOOoooooooo if ya need or want tires for anything best buy NOW .

13.6x38 might be cheaper because it is more common. Tire price seems average, they have gone down a little around here.

I just bought a set of used 13.6×38 take offs for 850 for the pair including tubes and freight. They were out of Minnesota. I'm in NY. I think 175 of that was freight. Found them on eBay. If I looked I could find a phone number.

I have a well used set that I want to get rid of in the spring, the Farmall H is getting new tires.

It's been a few years since I bought tractor tires, but when I did I found the best deals at Millersburg Tire in Millersburg, Ohio. They have a delivery truck making deliveries to dealers in the midwest and dropped the tires about 18 miles from my place at a stop on I80 in northern Ohio. I bought Titans, but they stock all major brands....cheaper than Miller Tire AY Wauseon.
