3 point equip. on H

Has anyone tried to use a 3point blade or other
pcs. by adapting them to the rear lift of a HM
cultivator? At first look it seems possible by
fabricating 3 point coupler to the outside arms
using the shovel mounts. I really don't want a 3 point kit and am trying not to have extra tractor
(more maint., storage, ect.)
Ant input is need.

The cultivator frames were not designed to handle that amount of weight and pressure on them. I don't think that they would be strong enought to even handle a light blade being pulled. With the aftermarket 3pt kits they are easy to put on should just clamp around axle housing and hook up hydraulic hose. Personally I think in the long run you will be happy with a 3pt kit. Jim.

The lift strength is just enough to elevate the cultivator shovels and arms. The lift rods and components of the hydraulics are not up to it. The bars might be usable for lift arms if the pivots and pull points were changed radically. (it would be using the iron as parts, not as built) The 3 point mechanism must have side sway ability for most attachments, the rear cultivator components do not have that degree of freedom. I agree with Jim W. the kits are better. Jim
