got a cub, sounds like a j d running. pulled spark plugs and one had no gap at all.

read the compression and # 2 reads 0 , that is right zero.

valves are not stuck.

holding finger on the spark plug hole, there is little compression that i can feel. so piston is moving.

badly burned valves, or badly broken piston rings, or hole burned in top of piston.

what do you think?

Take the side panel off where the liftersw are and maybe just a stuck valve open. With soe spray lube and a screwdriver mite get it unstuck. The reason no compression is a stuck valve open so if you find that one and get it free problem solved.

Got one this fall with same compression issue - pulled head and intake valves are junk.My is on a list for spring time jobs.

(quoted from post at 21:10:46 11/28/14) Should have said intake valve seats are junk. Valves are saveable on mine.
eats are actually part of the block. If they are to bad to grind the will have to cutout the area and put in inserts.

If you had something in a cylinder that bent the plug electrode closed you may also have something holding a valve open.
